TAJ - Shell-End Milling Cutter
Helical cutters for roughing applications.
Offering a depth of cut up to 108mm, the cutters are suitable for use with 16 inserts and support medium machining of most engineering materials including cast iron, stainless steel and aluminium alloys.
The large clearance between the cutting teeth, combined with internal coolant delivery, promotes efficient chip evacuation.
The axial clamping of inserts on the end teeth increases milling stability. This creates less noise and vibration which, in turn, also reduces tool wear.
•Metal removal rates up to 2 times greater than comparable cutters.
•The ability to position multiple inserts along the cutting edge of each helical flute.
•Smooth, progressive penetration and cutting action for extended tool life, lower power consumption, and up to a 30% improvement in surface finish.
•A size range from 2.5" to 4.0" in diameter.
4 to 6 flutes, with from 6 to 14 inserts, depending on flute length.
•Individual coolant jets to each insert for constant chip evacuation and temperature stability in the cutting zone.
•2 insert grades -- Grade X500 for nickel-based alloys, cobalt-based alloys, titanium and titanium-based alloys or Grade SP6519 for both high temperature alloys and stainless steels.
